TikTok Shop does not allow digital downloads (and most guides still say it does)
TikTok Shop's own prohibited-products policy bans virtual and digital products unless you are invited into a special category. Checked 9 August 2026, with the links so you can check it yourself.
If you sell PDFs, printables, SVG or embroidery files, or Canva templates, you have probably been told to put them on TikTok Shop.
That advice is out of date, and following it can cost you the account.
What the policy actually says
TikTok Shop's US Prohibited Products Policy has a section called Services and Virtual Products. The page we read was dated 07/24/2026, and it says:
Virtual or digital products are prohibited unless approved for sale under the Virtual Goods category.

The same section notes that physical products containing digital content — a DVD, for example — are fine. It is the download itself that is the problem.
The obvious next question is: fine, how do I get approved? TikTok's Virtual Goods Requirements page, same date, answers it:
Eligibility to sell virtual goods is limited to invite-only sellers.
