Account details: your handle, email address and a hashed password — we never store your password in readable form. Profile content you choose to add, such as a bio, avatar and links. Content you post: forum threads, replies, comments and private messages. Support messages: your name, email, order reference and whatever you write to us. Purchase records: what you bought and when. Technical data: a session cookie, your language choice, your cookie decision, and aggregate page counts. We do not log IP addresses for analytics and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
To run your account, deliver what you bought and provide support — because we need it to perform our contract with you. To operate and secure the site and prevent abuse — because we have a legitimate interest in a working, safe service. To send you service emails such as receipts and password resets — contract. To send marketing email — only with your consent, and every such email has an unsubscribe link. To meet tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
We do not sell your personal data and we never have. We share only what is needed with: our payment processor, which handles your payment and holds your card details (we do not); our email provider, to send service and, if you consented, marketing email; and our hosting, which is a server we operate ourselves. We will also disclose data if the law requires it. Each provider is bound to use your data only to provide their service to us.
Account data for as long as your account is open, and up to 90 days after you close it so we can reverse an accidental deletion. Purchase and tax records for seven years, because tax law requires it. Support tickets for two years. Forum content stays until you or we remove it; ask us and we will delete or anonymise your posts.
Wherever you live you may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. If you are in the EU, UK, California or another place with a data-protection law, those rights are legal entitlements and we will honour them free of charge within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising them. Email support@mockwrenstudio.com. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your national data-protection authority.
We operate from the United States, so if you are outside the US your data is transferred there. Where the law requires a transfer safeguard we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism with each provider.
This site is not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Passwords are stored using scrypt hashing. The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
